WHAT MAKES IT SO GOOD
Audiostat uses advanced digital signal processing (DSP) in a psychoacoustic model of the human ear/brain system. With its remote sense microphone, Audiostat hears what we hear and does what we ourselves do everyday to make sure that we can hear what we are listening to properly - we turn up the volume or turn it down. Audiostat monitors the frequency spectrum and volume of the signal, in the context of the frequency spectrum, volume and rate of change of the volume of the ambient or background noise. Whenever it detects an imbalance in the signal to noise ratio that will impact on signal intelligibility (the signal becomes either too loud or not loud enough) Audiostat makes an adjustment. Thousands of minute adjustments occur every second, automatically, seamlessly and in real time.

Audiostat operates continuously, it is self-calibrating and is completely adaptive to the audio environment. Power consumption is minimal.

The sense microphone (DSS MC11 MIC), supplied with Audiostat, has its own integral amplifier for long distance sensing situations of 1000 ft plus. Siting and installation of the sense mic is simple and its small size and neutral colouring make it unobtrusive.
